Identifying excess consumption in shared building services

Analyse des surconsommations énergétiques dans les parties communes d'un bâtiment

For a condominium building, Workswell analysed the electricity consumption of the shared services, focusing on excess consumption and energy inefficiencies.

What the measurements showed

The air handling unit was running continuously, with no night-time setback. That explained the high electricity consumption. After a service visit in which the filters were replaced, consumption dropped sharply.

The result

Comparing consumption before and after maintenance shows a reduction of up to 25 kWh per day — a meaningful saving on energy costs.

What it tells us

Preventive maintenance pays off: regular filter cleaning, inspection of mechanical and electrical components and sensor calibration keep the ventilation system performing over the long run while reducing energy costs.

Do you suspect excess consumption in your shared services? Let’s discuss it.
