Addresses shorter than 16 characters are padded with binary zeros in the building automation system. The « _ » separators are not counted in the ASCII limit.

Each block consists of a type (letter) and a number. Expand to see the details.

1 · LIEU NNNN_AAXX

Physically locates the installation. Written in two segments: 0026_MG10.

NNNN — Economic unit (4 digits). Ex. 0026 = store owner.
AA — Building designation (2 letters chosen by Workswell). E.g. MG = Magasin.
XX — Building level (2 characters). E.g. 10 = 1^er floor. The building and level are joined: MG10.

2 · INSTALLATION DU BUILDING A NNN

A — installation type (1 letter, 26 types A→Z) · NNN — installation number (3 digits).
Installations of the same type are numbered in ascending order per building. E.g. H001 = heating n°001.

3 · APPAREIL A NNN

A — device type (1 letter) · NNN — device number (3 digits), structured by functional domain (hundreds).
Ex. M100 = moteur, domain « production ».

4 · FONCTION A N

A — function type (1 letter) · N — number of the function (1 digit, 0→9).
Describes the data point in the building automation. E.g. S0 = commande de commutation.

The device number (3 digits) is subdivided by hundreds according to the discipline. Recommendation: exceptions within groups are possible.
